About the Module

The Misty Halls of Kalávorka

 
For 4–8 characters of levels 5–7 (about 36 levels total)

 

In this adventure of high exploration and mystery, the player characters journey into a rugged mountain wilderness in search of the fabled halls of the cloud giant Thorogang. Legend holds that Thorogang and his kin possessed the gift of second sight and prophecy, drawing seekers from every race to their lofty domain. Yet none have seen or heard from these giants in years. The halls themselves are rumored to conceal the source of their powers —a waiting for those brave enough to uncover the truth behind their disappearance.

 

The first section of the adventure details the remote mountain region where the halls are said to lie, including a wilderness map, wandering encounters, and ten keyed locations. The second section presents the Misty Halls of Kalávorka proper, comprising thirty keyed areas spread across four dungeon levels. The Dungeon Master can easily adapt the setting to any fantasy campaign world.

 

Artwork

Fifteen original black-and-white illustrations by Bradley K. McDevitt, Jared Binder, Matthew Ray, Justin Youso, and Russ Nicholson (of Fiend Folio fame). Interior art captures the classic old-school ink style. The striking cover by Bradley K. McDevitt depicts adventurers locked in a desperate battle against the hall’s monstrous denizens.
